The Vatican and the Colosseum, Privately
Rome's headline sights are sublime and notoriously crowded. We arrange early or after-hours access where it exists — entering the Sistine Chapel before the general crowds, or the Colosseum's restored arena floor and underground with a specialist guide who brings the gladiatorial history alive. The difference between shuffling in a queue and standing in a quiet Sistine Chapel as the ceiling reveals itself is the difference between a tick-box and a memory. We pace the day so you also have time simply to wander and to sit with a coffee in a piazza, which is half the point of Rome.
A Chianti Cellar with the Winemaker
The best of Tuscany happens away from the towns. We base you on a working agriturismo or wine estate among the vines and arrange an afternoon in a family cellar with the winemaker — not a tasting-room script, but a real conversation over barrels and a vertical of Chianti Classico, followed by a long lunch of the estate's own produce. A hands-on pasta or Tuscan cooking lesson, a drive through the Val d'Orcia at golden hour, and a slow dinner under the pergola round out a few days that many travellers remember as the heart of the trip.
Venice at Dawn, the Amalfi by Boat
Two of Italy's most romantic experiences, done right. In Venice, we get you out before the city wakes — a private early gondola or a walk through silent canals and over empty bridges as the light comes up — so you meet the real, quiet Venice. On the Amalfi Coast, we arrange a private boat day along the cliffs to Capri's grottoes and hidden coves, away from the ferry crush. For honeymooners these are the set-pieces; for everyone they are the moments the postcards were trying to capture.

This ten-day itinerary runs Italy's classic arc — Rome, Florence and Tuscany, and Venice — by high-speed train, paced to enjoy each rather than rush between them. Every element is adjustable: add the Amalfi Coast and Capri in the south, the Lakes or Cinque Terre in the north, or combine with Switzerland or France. A starting point, not a fixed product.
Arrive in Rome, met and transferred to your central hotel. An evening stroll to the floodlit Trevi Fountain and the Pantheon, and a first Roman dinner, ease you into the city.

A relaxed day in the countryside — a drive through the cypress-lined Val d'Orcia, a hands-on cooking lesson with the estate cook, and time simply to enjoy the pool, the views, and the wine. The trip's gentle heart.
Train north to Venice (around 2 hours from Florence). Arrive into the lagoon city, transfer by water taxi to your hotel, and spend the late afternoon getting lost in the back canals before a seafood dinner.
A morning at St Mark's Basilica and the Doge's Palace with reserved entry, and a private early gondola away from the crowds. Afternoon to the glass island of Murano and colourful Burano, or simply more of Venice.
