Arrival to Guwahati Airport, pickup & transfer to Shillong, En-route visit Umium Lake - is a reservoir in the hills 15 km north of Shillong in the state of Meghalaya, India. It was created by damming the Umiam River in the early 1960s. . Check-in, freshen-up. Later visit Don Bosco Museum - Museum focusing on local indigenous people & culture, with tools, clothing & artifacts on display., & other sightseeing places.In the evening, you can go for shopping at Police Bazar. Overnight at Shillong.
Day 2 CHERRAPUNJI
After breakfast you will be setting out to the wettest place in the world, Cherrapunji.On the way, you will be stop by at the Elephant Falls - Dramatic, multi-tiered waterfalls in picturesque surrounds, with an easy walking trail and stairs and the Shillong Peak (the highest point in Meghalaya). Visit the Mawkdok Dympep Valley, you can also do Zip-Lining here.Walkthrough the sands of mesmerizing beach of the river.After arriving in Cherrapunji, you will see the famous attractions of the hill station like the Nohkalikai Falls (the fourth highest falls in the world), & other tourist spots. Later in the evening check-in to the accommodation in Cherrapunji.
Day 3 DOUBLE DECKER BRIDGE
Enjoy a delicious breakfast and reach Tyrna Village the starting point of your trek.Trek through the lush green fields and the cliffs while witnessing the sun streaming through the thick trees.Pass through the small villages and the green vegetation and reach Nongriat Village to witness the most famous Double Decker Living Root Bridge.This natural bridge is over a hundred feet long and is very strong at its root. Enjoy trekking through the bridge and a quick swim in the natural pool.Hike back to Tyrna and after the long tiring day check in to your hotel in Cherrapunji.
Day 4 SHILLONG
After breakfast, check-out from hotel & drive to Shillong. Check-in at hotel, re-fresh. Later, drive from Shillong to Mawllynnong Village, also referred as ‘God’s own garden’ has won the acclaim of being the cleanest village in Asia in 2003. Also, trek to the Single Decker living root bridge at a neighbouring village Riwai. The village also offers a sight of natural balancing rock, a strange natural phenomenon of a boulder balancing on another rock. Visit Dawki, the Bangladesh Border (Tamabil Border from Bangladesh side). Main attraction is the Umgot river with crystal clear water. You can enjoy along boat ride there. Evening return back to Shillong. Check in Hotel. Overnight at Shillong.
Day 5 SHILLONG – KAZIRANGA
After having a scrumptious breakfast, you will be taken to Kaziranga National Park through a road drive. From Shillong, Kaziranga is located at a distance of around 252 km, and hence, a road drive would take around 4-5 hours to complete. Upon arrival, check-in to a pre-booked hotel. Dinner and overnight stay will be provided at the hotel.
Day 6 KAZIRANGA
In the morning, after having breakfast, enjoy a wildlife safari in Kaziranga National Park where you will get to see various wild species.Thereafter, you will be transferred to your onward destination (airport/railway station) to sum up this tour.Upon arrival at the airport/station, proceed to board your flight back home.
